Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th 1996) was born in Miami Florida. Half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Her father is an Argentine who is of Scottish and English descent. Her mother's ancestral lineage is Spanish as well as English. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children, four are from Taylor's father's prior marriage. Family was in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy was 6 years old, after which they moved to the Victoria district of London. Taylor Joy admitted that the transition from Buenos aires to Victoria was difficult, and she was not able to learn English and was hoping to go again to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she needed to go to after she left Northlands. After that, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and appeared in plays. She dropped out of high school at 16 in order to concentrate on her acting career. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to be an actor. She was given a opportunity by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered an opportunity as a model.
